Hadrian's Wall Path
2010
The inaugural Bucket List Hiking Club adventure started with a hike along the Hadrian's Wall path on October 21, 2010 from Whitley Bay on England's east coast on the North Sea. We finished at Bowness-on-Solway on the Irish Sea 6 days and 100 miles later. The wall is named after Roman Emperor Hadrian who ordered it built to keep out the barbarians from the north (now Scotland) in 122 A.D.
The following photos capture just a few of the memorable sights taken between October 21 - 27, 2010.
